We’ve just been awarded a Rural Development Grant by Suffolk Council.
This means we’ve been able to buy some new computers for the village to use at the Post Office in normal shop hours, 9am to 5:30pm, every day except Sunday. We’ve also invested in a new colour printer, replacing the huge old black and white photocopier that took up half the shop.
For those who haven’t had access to a computer before we’re also providing free basic internet training. Email us here or call us on 01728 668520 to arrange a time to come along and we’ll guide you through exactly what to do to access emails and browse web sites.
Post Office Computers: What You Can Do
- Learn to use email.
- Browse websites.
- Find old friends using search engines.
- Learn about things you always wanted to know about but didn’t know how to find out.
- Scan paperwork and send it as email attachments.
Post Office Computers: What You Can’t Do
- Harass and/or abuse people on social websites.
- Access, download or print pornography.
- Take computers home.
- Send viruses or hate mail.
There have to be some rules, but as you can see, there aren’t many.
