Post Office Opening

Nearly there. This weekend is the last for the former owner of Yoxford Post Office and we sign our new lease on Monday.

The new chiller cabinet goes in on Monday afternoon and cheese arrives after that. The new coffee machine arrives hopefully next week as well.

The shop and the post office are both staying open as usual during this transition, but everything will be changed by 17th November. We’ll have our official opening after that.

It’s good to be working towards having a permanent base for our cheeses and making a space in the community where people can simply go and have a cup of decent coffee and do their email.

There’s going to be wi-fi as well. Did I say that? Well there is, whether or not Yoxford’s ready for it.

Think cafe-tabac, without the tabac part, obviously. Plus cheese. But no brandy for breakfast, an endearing habit the Toulon dustbin men used to delight in before a hard day’s bin-emptying and HGV driving. I feel another post coming on….

About Carl Bennett

Sole Bay Cheese Co. can be found at Yoxford Post Office Deli-Cafe in Yoxford High Street on the A1120. It's a Post Office, look for the red awning and the big sign that says "Post Office." Coming from Southwold turn right, off the A12 onto the A1120, go past the shop on the right, go past the church on the left, go past the Griffin pub and we're 100 yards on the right. Coming from Ipswich turn left off the A12, turn left at the junction and look for the Post Office sign.
